SAILBOAT FOR SALE -

S/V Gaviota is an Alberg-designed, 26' Pearson Ariel, hull number 134, manufactured in 1963. A full-keeled sloop with roller furled jib, she is equipped with a new VHS radio with Emergency Distress & GPS connection, (see photo below), ground tackle, compass, on-board head, deep-cell battery, AM/FM radio, galley sink and spinnaker pole with spinnaker sail. She is in sail-ready condition and lies at Port Ludlow Marina in Washington's Olympic Peninsula. Equipped with a 3.5HP 2cycle Nissan outboard in a detached lazarette, the 12'inflatable dingy/tender shown in the photos below is also available, (The dinghy was purchased new in 2005 and comes with a Suzuki 5HP 2cycle OB).

There is a full set of black canvas sail covers and an older set of sails for backup; a hank-on working jib, hank-on genoa and an older mainsail. All are usable but older than the current Ulmann sails, bought new in 2000 and 2001.

The boat was last hauled out in Ventura, California and the bottom painted in July, 2003 with an ablative paint from West Marine. Coverage is still fair to good, (made general inspection in August, 2006). The boat was trucked from California to Washington in 2003 and has been in Sinclair Inlet Marina in Port Orchard and Port Ludlow Marina since March, 2004.
